I've been waiting SO DAMN LONG to finally announce that my little sister had her baby!

She was born (or "hatched" as Violet would say) on Tuesday afternoon.  I didn't get to see her that day because of work obligation but I drove up last night (going 80 the whole way, yikes!) and it was so worth the wait.  She is beautiful.  So perfect.  And so sweet.

I only took this one picture on my phone but I plan to get way more, or the permission of my sisters to use theirs:

I held her for an hour and I swear, I wasn't gonna let anyone else hold her on my watch.  I waited way too long to snuggle that baby. And now I can't wait to see her again.

It made me remember a scenario just after Violet's birth when my sister-in-law said something to me like, "I love Violet like she is my own!".  And I remember thinking to myself, "Well that's nice and all but just remember that I am her Mother, so back off".  Ha, now I totally understand where my SIL was coming from.  The love I feel for little A is amazing and I can't wait to see her as she grows.

The day before my sister went into labor, Violet and I visited.  Our plan was to help her get active and maybe move into labor as she was over a week past her due date already.  We played Twister at home and then later went to a game place.  It was really fun:

I am so proud of my sister and her hubby.  It was a tricky birth but they made it through and are so lucky to have a wonderful little bundle.
