I've been trying to heal the health problems of my aging kitty.

When I last took him the Animal Hospital, the doctor explained that all testing came back normal.  She thought perhaps that he was probably suffering from some kind of intestinal blockage (a tumor) that could only be diagnosed and treated with expensive exploratory procedures. 

I did not believe Owen had/has cancer.  I began the personal, online search to figure out what is wrong with him.  After a lot of looking, I think I found the name for his issues: Inflammatory Bowel Disease.  His symptoms match dead-on.  To read about it, please look HERE, but basically, his bowels aren't producing (or producing too much) type of probiotic/prebiotic chemicals and he needs help with it.

I started him on a wholistic medicine this week.  So far I haven't seen much of a change.  He still has vomited and had terrible poops since being on it -- but it is still early.  I have hope.  And I will continue to research other methods of care.

Here are some recent moments with the big man himself, my Owen Kitty:

He was snuggled up in bed with me today as he always does.  He is just the sweetest ever.

Violet gave Owen a beauty treatment yesterday afternoon.  Combed his fur.. covered him in a warm blanky.  He endured it very well, as always.
