Yesterday I got something I've been needing sooo bad lately...

A whole day with Violet!!

We spent hours together, just me and her and it was wonderful.  I had not seen her in days (as she is on vacation with her Daddy for a couple of weeks) so it was a reunion of sorts (not that she even noticed, but hey, she is five after all).

I took her to another farm/petting zoo because for us, it is always a good time when we choose to spend time outside with some cute, furry animal friends.  This time we went to a nearby home-based farm and it was nice.  A little scary - down a long dirt road - out in the middle of a dark, winding heavily forested area - but quaint with a granny type lady collecting fare at the gate.

The girl that showed us around, Cheyenne, was SO super cute.  She was probably 11 or 12, bright red hair and knew her farm animals well.  Violet liked her immediately.

I specifically took Violet there for the promise of a pony ride - as advertised on the website - but no pony was found.  I imagine that they once had one but did not at this time.  We still had a good time and I would consider visiting again.

We agreed these bunnies - Ben and Naomi - were our favorite animals of the trip.

Violet + other guest on the longest tractor ride EVER. Seriously, half an hour or more, bumps and all.

And even later at home, playing Memory (she wins every time).
