Violet stayed home sick yesterday.  She has pink eye again for the second time since starting school.

To me, it seems like she catches everything there.  Anything and everything that goes around.  We even brought her to the doc's last week as a precaution when pink eye began it's rounds in her class.  She was fine then.  But I guess it finally got her too.

Little kids are pretty gross that way, spreading illness like wild fire.

Drop-off was okay today.  She held my hand so tight and begged me to stay "just a little longer" but I was parked illegally and I had to go.  And now I wish I had stayed those few extra moments, it wouldn't have killed me to.  One of her teachers grabbed her hand and helped us make the transition for which I am so appreciative.  They can definitely make it easier for me when they want to.  I've noticed though, morning after morning, the tired empty faces of these preschool teachers.  They look miserable, what's up with that?  Better than being fake happy, but still.  Maybe its because they work with little monster, germ factories for less money than I even make?  Ha, maybe so. 

On the way to work I stopped and bought some water.  I've been meaning to for a while now as I have been swiping the staff's supply.  I happened upon the cutest shoes for her when I walked down an aisle.  I had to buy them.  Just had to!  Even though I have zero business buying more Violet shoes or any shoes in general, I did it.  They sparkle!  She will love them.

Hello Kitty!  I can't wait to give them to her tonight.
