Friday: A Repost

Effects of Judgement

Judging denies reality. By placing judgment on yourself and others, you are living in a world seen only through your lens. Your lens is foggy due to all the shit you’ve been through in your life. So instead of basing your emotions on truth, what is factual, they are now based on cognitive distortions. This creates false beliefs. When you are operating from false beliefs, you are not living in reality. You are living in a bubble, in your head. This is a dangerous place to be. You know this. It’s a crock pot stewing with anger, frustration, and pain. If you want to stop stewing, stop judging. The less you judge, the more you live in truth. The more you live in truth, the clearer your lenses.

I think Ice Cube said it best. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

I know I have had my fair share of judgment.  And hells yeah, I've done my fair share of judging.  Though recent life experience has shown me that I have absolutely no right to judge anyone.  And because of this realization, all the punked out peeps in my little world that find it necessary to judge me at times, can no longer hold so much weight.  Random?   Maybe.  But good to know and better to share.
